IOC publishes code to protect the integrity of the Olympics

The IOC has published The Olympic Movement Code on the Prevention of the Manipulation of Competitions. The first of its kind, the code sets out a harmonised set of rules, sanctions and disciplinary actions that will protect all competitions being manipulated or corrupted – and therefore strengthen the integrity of sport. Approved by the IOC Executive Board in December, the code will come into force for Rio 2016. Find out more.

IOC calls for applications for anti-doping research funding

The IOC is inviting researchers to apply for funding to support new anti-doping research projects. The funding is available through the IOC’s Medical and Scientific Commission, and is part of a drive to protect athletes’ health and the future of sport. The IOC is accepting applications until 2 May, and will welcome athlete-centre projects involving scientific and social research. Find out more.
