FOCUS: RIO SUSTAINABILITY

Edited and published by the Organising Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Rio in 2016, 2015, 33 pages, in English.

The Rio 2016 Organising Committee sustainability plan is built on three strategic pillars – people, planet and prosperity – with objectives including engagement and awareness raising, diversity and inclusion, environmental protection, sustainable building and supply chain, transport and logistics, and management. This publication sets out what has been achieved under each pillar in a detailed exploration of the plan. You can also find the Rio 2016 Organising Committee Sustainability report and the Sustainability management plan for download from our e-library.

IOC 2016 CODE OF ETHICS

Published by the International Olympic Committee, 2016, 115 pages.

The IOC has published the 2016 edition of the IOC Code of Ethics. Extensively revised, it includes the first edition of the Olympic Movement Code on the Prevention of the Manipulation of Competitions and Regulations for the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games 2016 designed to prevent of manipulation of Olympic competitions. This Code is compliant with the Council of Europe Convention on the Manipulation of Sports Competitions. Each sports organisation will implement the code in their own country and follow the regulations released for each Olympic Games.
