International Olympic Case Study Competition (CSC) ends with first-ever public final
|
Organised by the IOC's Olympic Studies Centre in collaboration with Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (Germany) and the European University of Madrid (Spain), the fifth edition of the CSC marked several milestones, engaging a record number of 36 universities and hosting the final for the first time in person.
As part of the programme, the ten finalist teams benefitted from a two-day study trip in Lausanne with visits to the Olympic Studies Centre, the Olympic Museum, the IOC Headquarters, and FIVB.

Latest on PhD Students and Early Career Academics Research Grant Programme
|
The researchers chosen for the 27th edition of the PhD Students and Early Career Academics Research Grant Programme have been announced.
Six projects have been selected from 54 applications across 26 countries and five continents, highlighting the truly global reach and appeal of the programme.

Digitalisation of all publications of past Olympic Games in Germany
|
A total of 389 documents published by the organising committees of the Olympic Games held in Germany have been digitised and are now available for consultation on the Olympic World Library.
The collection includes 195 historic documents from Berlin 1936, 171 from Munich 1972, and 17 from Garmisch-Partenkirchen 1936.
Together, these publications are a valuable resource for researchers worldwide, featuring key materials such as the Report of Munich 1972, which offers step-by-step, detailed and multilingual coverage of the Games' planning process.

Registration is open until 30 April for the IOA’s 33rd International Seminar on Olympic Studies for Postgraduate Students, in Ancient Olympia, which will take place from 3 to 25 July 2026.
