NEW PAGE ON COUBERTIN’S WRITINGS
Like so many men of his generation and status, Pierre de Coubertin wrote extensively throughout
his life. His writings amount to around 16,000 printed pages, including 34 books, 57 pamphlets
and 1,224 articles.
We have published a new
page on the Olympic World Library dedicated to his writings, where you will
find over 220 (soon 300) of his books and articles on the values of Olympism, the revival of the
Olympic Games and the development of sports organisations. These written resources are fully
accessible in digital format thanks to the help of the International Pierre de Coubertin
Committee.

measure and evaluate the social, economic and environmental benefits of their events.
Two recent studies on the economic impact of the Olympic Games have been published, both taking
