Dear Friends of Olympic Studies
As this memorable Games year comes to an end, we are proud of everything accomplished and grateful for all the wonderful moments shared, be it during meetings and visits in Lausanne or the various inspiring conferences and events in France and around the world.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who shared their time, expertise and passion with us and contributed to the new resources and programmes we can now make available to all.
We are very encouraged by the growing network of Olympic Studies and Research Centres, which now counts 77 centres on 5 continents. The eagerness of the centres to connect, collaborate, share and learn from each other is inspiring and opens up new opportunities for all.
With the Paris 2024 Olympic Games behind us, we can’t wait for all the meaningful exchanges and developments the next year will bring. Our minds are bustling with ideas and plans, but until then, we wish you all a peaceful and joyful year-end festivities and a happy, healthy, and successful 2025!

New Academic Olympic Studies and Research Centres
Since the beginning of 2024, 9 new university-based Olympic Studies and Research Centres (OSRCs) have joined the network, which now includes 77 centres across 29 countries on all continents.
Some of the key objectives of the network are to promote collaboration and exchange among its members, to give academic OSRCs recognition for their contributions to the promotion of Olympic studies, and to enhance their visibility within the Olympic Movement.
We invite you to consult the list of the OSRCs
here and to write to
studies.centre@olympic.org if you would like to learn more.
