Network

The IOA has
joined the Olympic World
Library (OWL)
Network, marking a
significant milestone in
advancing access to Olympic
knowledge and promoting
education and
research.
The IOA’s vast library of over
16,000 titles and hundreds of
digital resources will be
documented over the next few
months and accessible via the
portal, complementing the
OSC’s
collection of over 42,000
publications and 15,000 digital
documents. Decades of IOA
sessions, proceedings, journals
and publications are
now
available and
searchable
online.

New OSC Reference Document on
Olympic broadcasting history
|
After months of detailed
archival research, this new
OSC Reference
Document
recounts the history and
development of Olympic
broadcasting, from
its debut, when all coverage was
uniquely on film, moving to
radio, television and more
recently digital media. The
period covered extends from the
first editions of the modern
Olympic Games, which coincided
with the birth of
cinema, to the
present day. On over 240
pages
, readers can discover
first-time and main innovations
in Olympic Games broadcasting
history.
